A native of Rimouski, Guylaine graduated from the University of Ottawa (1994). It was her attraction to sport (particularly cycling, cross-country skiing and various team sports) that led her to the profession of physiotherapist. She began her career in the United States (4 years) in the orthopedics department of a rehabilitation center in conjunction with an exercise physiologist and a multidisciplinary team. She joined the Rosemère Physiotherapy Clinic team (now Physio Atlas Rosemère) in 1999.
